Review Policy
The Journal of Biopolitics and Development uses a specialized review method with a two-way anonymous approach in reviewing and reviewing articles. This means that in the article review process, the reviewers and the author/authors do not know each other's identities.
Article Review Process
1- Submitting an Article via the Site
Authors will only be allowed to submit articles via the journal's website. It is necessary to log in to the journal's website and register there (for the first time) and receive a password and username in order to become the owner of their own dedicated page. All correspondence with authors at different stages of the work will be done automatically through the system and according to the editor's settings.
Authors are required to prepare and submit their articles based on the journal's guidelines included in the authors' guide section.
In articles with multiple authors, one of the authors will be introduced as the corresponding author, and all correspondence with them will be done via email.
2- Initial review of the article
After the article is submitted by the author, in the first stage, the article will be reviewed by the journal expert for compliance with the guidelines for compiling and uploading the necessary forms included in the authors' guide (within a maximum of one week).
If accepted in the first stage, the article will be initially evaluated in the second stage by the editor or specialized editor for the quality of the content and relevance of the topic, and if approved, an appropriate referee will be selected for the article from among the relevant referees. This stage usually takes 3 to 7 days.
3- Article review
Articles that have been approved in the previous stage are sent to at least two referees who are experts in the subject of the article and after review, they are divided into three categories according to the results of the review:
Articles that can be published without corrections;
Articles that can be published after the corrections desired by the referees;
Articles that cannot be published.
Obviously, the articles in the first category will be immediately put in the queue for publication after paying the acceptance and publication fees. The second group will be sent to the main author of the article in order to make the corrections desired by the referees, and unpublishable articles will also be removed from the review process with the author of the article being notified (30 days).
4- Article revision
If the referee's response is based on a general or partial revision (a partial revision if the corrections include the technical content of the article), it will be sent to the author. The author will revise the article within 10 days and re-upload and submit it through the system.
5- Final acceptance
After the corrections desired by the referees are approved or sufficient reasons are provided that no corrections are needed, and the acceptance and publication fee is paid, the article will be put in the queue for publication and the details will be sent to the owner of the work (responsible author) in a written letter stating the final acceptance and publication of the article.
