Rethinking is the process of defining and redefining of personality through observation and reflection of information about thinkable life styles. Women, as half part of any society, are subject to be repeatedly defined and redefined many times in the transition from traditional to modern society. Investigating and exploring political rethinking in women's mentality and personality is a subject that needs to be deeply understood. Today, politics hover around issues such as identities, differences, and goals of social movements, not by their structural characters, but the role of culture. Today's political activists are not the only people who are recognized by voting and political participation through the usual formalities, but individuals and nonpolitical organizations also choose their own ways how to influence and participate in the political matter. The present research is decided to understand the political rethinking in the mind setting of the living women in Bandar Daylam using the qualitative method and interpretation paradigm methodology. The research input data are collected by semi-structured in-depth interview technique using tele conversation and based on focused mixed sampling, and then classified and analyzed by schematic method. The meaning of political rethinking in this research is defining and redefining the fundamental concepts of politics, including the margins between the private and public sectors, government, democracy and citizenship. The results of this research study show the transition from tradition to modernity, and according to Giddens, life turning towards politics, is a major want by Bandar Daylam’s living women as part of political participation at least in a quantitative and qualitative sense. Although women have wanted more presence in politics, but this possibility has not been facilitated because of cultural and social mind settings, and consequently this bitter and unsuccessful attempt by women has influenced their enthusiasm for political rethinking, therefore and so far with no significant achievement in any political participation for them. The traditional culture, patriarchy, the lack of trust to women in society, the lack of confidence and lack of supportive attitude in women’s communities introduced as the most important factors of their failure and reluctance to gain political power.
